It is all about the Cream

These days everything we see and hear is about healthy eating, stop eating this and minus this from your diet, what they forget to tell you is a majority of foods that are considered bad for you actually have health benefits that you need to stay fit and healthy.

Take cream for example, this dairy product is rich in calcium and essential for us to keep healthy teeth and bones, without calcium in our diets our teeth and bones would crumble to nothing. Fair enough there are healthy options such as yoghurt and cheese, which offers you calcium, but even on a strict healthy eating plan, a treat now and then is a delight and you can do this and still get your calcium intake at the same time.

Hot Chocolate

Children and adults both love hot chocolate, especially on a chilly winter’s night here in the UK. Sitting snug in front of the fire sipping on a warm and sweet cup of hot chocolate makes us happy. Generally winter time seems to really bring down morale, you feel miserable and you get sick on a regular basis, the minute the sun shines the smiles come out, so a cup of hot chocolate can put that smile on your face even on the coldest of British days.

Once your hot chocolate is made, add whipped cream and marshmallows to the top, to add that extra bit of indulgence. The milk of the hot chocolate combined with the whipped cream will give you an excellent calcium boost.

Strawberries and Cream

A firm favourite here in the UK, fresh, sweet and delicious strawberries topped with whipped cream. What could be better than that as a dessert on a hot summer’s day? The advantage is that even with the cream, this isn’t overly fattening. Strawberries can be considered as one of your fruits and vegetables you need each day and topped with whipped cream just adds that calcium you need while offering you an outstanding dessert.

Peanut Butter Cookies

You can buy biscuits in the store, but they will never be as good as ones you make at home. Homemade cookies are a healthier alternative; you choose how much sugar you add to the cookies, thereby staying within your healthy eating guidelines.

Peanut butter cookies are so easy to make with whipped cream, peanut butter and sugar. Once the ingredients are mixed together, you pop them on a baking tray and into the oven. Once golden brown you leave them to rest and you have stunning cookies filled with calcium and goodness.
