CPR Can Make a Difference

According to the Life Saving Foundation, 1.2 million people around the world die by drowning every year, that is more than two people per minute. Out of that 50 percent are children. Now why would this statistic hold true when many countries across the world hold swimming classes? Sometimes, even if someone knows how to swim, there are still various scenarios that can cause that person to drown even if they have been taught how to swim. Examples of this are:

· If a person falls out of a boat
· Swims too far
· Is carried away by a strong current
· Cramps or inability to swim due to cold water
· Falling from a bridge
· Swept from shore by a big wave

What is CPR?

CPR, also known as Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation is an emergency procedure performed to victims of drowning, cardiac arrest and the like. It’s a procedure that can be used on children, babies, animals, elderly and adults. It is done by placing your palm on the person’s chest and compressing it thirty times followed by two deep breaths into the person’s mouth.

How effective is CPR?

The effectiveness of CPR is all depending on how long it takes before someone initiates it. The quicker and faster it is performed, the more chances of survival the victim has.

Where to learn CPR?

· Training center
· Online
· Books
· Videos
· Guides
· School

Out of all of these options the training centers and online training are the only forms of instruction for a valid certification. CPR training can be learned in various training centers. Most of these training are in locations with instructors that have experiences and are carefully tested and quizzed on these matters to ensure a lesson that is correctly taught. These classes are often taught with mannequin and dolls that you are able to blow into, so that it is easy to gauge just how good you are doing

There is CPR online training available for a small fee. You can re-take as many times necessary to pass. Available seven days a week. There is no specific time to log on and do your classes. You can take as long as you would like to study in order to pass the tests.

Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation is important to learn, know and practice. No matter if you are going to get officially certified to perform this life changing and lifesaving act or not, this one act can change, alter and save many lives. There are lives that would have been ended if not for the quick thinking and response. So whether you are looking into getting certified or not, it never hurts to learn a thing or two about CPR and how to perform it. It may just save your life or the life of someone that you care about.
