Remove Stains From Nails

blank

jjHave you ever taken off your beautiful nail polish just to discover that underneath your nails are completely stained? I am certain that the majority of women would answer “yes” to this question.

Stains on nails can be a complete disaster. Do not fret friends, because I have some sure fire ways to rid your nails of this burden. Shall we?

Before we discuss how to get rid of the stains, let’s begin by talking about how we get them and how they can be prevented.

How do our nails get stained? Stained nails is a result of wearing a colored nail polish without a base coat or for an extended amount of time. TIP ALERT: Cheaper nail polish results in the staining. Higher end nail polish can be worn without a base coat and for longer and is less likely to stain. So, if you are like me and love nail polish, but do not want to spend your life’s saving on it, make wearing a base coat your priority.

Now, let’s remove those stains.

Lemon: Squeeze half a lemon into a bowl of warm water and soak nails for 15 mins. (For an extra boost, after squeezing the lemon, add the entire squeezed half).

Vinegar: (Same as lemon instructions). If after 15 mins they are still stained, repeat with vinegar and lemon.

Emery Board Buffing: Gently buff nails with the emery board and kiss your stains goodbye. Caution: Too roughly may damage nails.

Teeth Whitening Strips: Apply to nail for about 15 mins, then remove.

Enjoy your nails, ladies!
