For those of you who don’t know what day of the week it is, let alone day of the month,  its Cinco De Mayo! This day is of historical significance.  It serves as the date to commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza.

El Cinco de Mayo es un dia recuerda el tiunfo del ejercito mexicano contra los Frances en la Batalla de Puebla. Se celebra el 5 de mayo mas en las Estados Unides que en Mexico.

It is much more celebrated in the United States than in Mexico as a day to drink, throw parties and enjoy the flavors of Mexico.
